Karma means remuneration for your action. If your action is good you get good karma and if your action is bad you get bad karma. Human beings can think and act while animals act on instincts and intuitions. So it is generally believed that only human beings come under karmic cycle. But in reality everything comes under law of karma. I will tell you how.
Wolves move in packs. When any member gets old the pack will drive him off to find its own means of livelihood. Sooner or later those remain in the pack are driven off one by one as age catches up with them. Similarly a pride of lion is taken over by a strong and young male from an ageing leader. Sometime later the young male will also meet the same fate.
Trees grow up spreading their branches to get maximum sunlight for their selfish needs. Some of the trees see the vacant space above the roof of the nearby house and spread their branches above the house. Those trees which spread their branches above the house will find their branches cut and those which refrain from doing so remain intact.
Tiles are paved on the walkway for beauty and cleanness. They look majestic but If any tile loosen up and becomes a stumbling block then they are immediately taken out from the position of elegance and thrown off to oblivion.
