Fight against the carnal desires
Jihad and fighting the enemies of Islam is one of the most important and sacred divine commands.
The religion of Islam has instructed the Muslims that when they themselves or other Muslims and other oppressed and Islamic sanctities are attacked by the enemies, the Muslims must fight the enemies and repel their attacks.
Also, when the enemies of religion obstruct the guidance of the people and do not allow the divine messages to reach the people, then the Muslims are obliged to fight against such obstacles.
In the above cases and the like, the religion of Islam has commanded jihad, which is the struggle against the enemies, which has a great reward in the sight of Allah Almighty.
Allah says in this regard:
(4:95) Those believers who sit at home, unless they do so out of a disabling injury, are not the equals of those who strive in the way of Allah with their possessions and their lives. Allah has exalted in rank those who strive with their possessions and their lives over those who sit at home; and though to each Allah has promised some good reward, He has preferred those who strive (in the way of Allah) over those who sit at home for a mighty reward
Surah An-Nisa 4:92
Jihad is of two types:
1- Jihad with external enemies, which is the same as jihad and fighting the enemies that mentioned.
2- Jihad with internal enemies: Jihad with internal enemies means jihad and fighting against the carnal desires and illegitimate desires of the soul that this type of jihad and struggle is more important than the first type, because unless a person fights against the carnal desires and tames the rebellious soul, he cannot engage in jihad and fight against external enemies.
One who is captivated by the carnal desires never risks his life for the sake of Allah and does not fight the enemies of religion.
That is why the Holy Prophet (PBUH) called jihad and struggle against the carnal desires the greatest jihad, which indicates the great importance of jihad with the soul.
It is stated in the hadith that when some Muslims returned from jihad and fighting the enemies of Islam, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Blessed are the people who performed the small jihad and the great jihad remains.
It was asked, O Messenger of Allah (PBUH), what is the Great Jihad?
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: It means jihad and fighting against the soul.

Let us try to fight against the carnal desires, and if the soul compels us to sin, we will not obey it, in this case we will perform the great jihad and we will achieve true happiness.
