One of the first things you should practice is to accept yourself. Once you feel accepted by yourself, you feel accepted by others. A lack of self-acceptance also means you are more likely to search for acceptance from others and when you feel that it is not coming forth you will lose your happiness.

When you struggle to be happy with which you are, you also become more susceptible to the opinions of others. Decide on what you stand for. When you don’t stand for anything, you’ll fall for everything. You will not only be unhappy, but also an under achiever.

Self love and self acceptance doesn’t make others from making opinion of you or your immune to the negative opinions of others, but it does help you to remain confident in who you are and what you stand for.
