A beautiful act
It is the attitude of gratitude that lifts your life to high vibrations.
Make sure that you are grateful every day. Whatever your situation is, there is something for you to be grateful for. There are people who are living on less than $100 a year, are sick, have lost their home. There are people who just be grateful for each breath or the ability to feel the sun on their face. But for most of us, we have so much to be grateful for.
Expressing gratitude works like magic.
I could give three ideas to help you maintain a good attitude.
1. Every morning think of ten things that you are grateful for
2. Send love to three people who are bothering you.
Most people will have difficulty sending love to three people who are bothering them. If someone is really bothering them, they will send bad energy to that person. Do not do that, but instead send love to them. The person who is bothering you has nothing to do with you. He might be happy or unhappy in his life depending on his actions. When you think badly about him, you lower your vibration. You are putting yourself in lower vibration. You are putting yourself into a wonderful vibration by sending love to them.
3. Be quiet for five minutes and ask for guidance for the day.
I advice my clients get involved with this three-pronged practice each morning: writing down ten things to be grateful for, sending love to three people who are bothering them, and sitting quietly for five minutes and asking for guidance for the day.
I practice this every day and this has changed my life in a very positive way. On the first morning, You may think this a little bit of a dumb idea, but do it anyway. Soon you will tell it changed your life.
Wallace Wattles dedicated an entire chapter to the topic of gratitude in The Science of Getting Rich. On the first page of the chapter titled Gratitude he said,
The first step toward getting rich is to convey the idea of your wants to the formless substance. This is true, and you will see that in order to do so it becomes necessary to relate yourself to the formless intelligence in a harmonious way.
To secure this harmonious relationship is a matter of such primary and vital importance that I will give some space to its discussion here. I will give you instructions which, if you follow them, will be certain to bring you into a perfect unity of mind with God.
The whole process of mental adjustment and atunement can be summed up in one word: gratitude.”
What does he mean by “mental adjustment.” If you have challenges in your life that are dominating your thinking, be it a shortage of money, a business problem, a relationship problem—you will have a tendency to focus on the problem. And by doing that, you add energy to what? The problem! Where ever your attention goes, there it expands. And then the problem grows.
Wallace Wattles is saying don’t do that. Get into the process of mental adjustment. See what you want. Don’t spend any time looking at what you don’t want. Wattles said, “The whole process of mental adjustment and atunement can be summed up in one word: gratitude.
The atunement is getting in harmony with the desired vibration
Now put his words into action.
When you seem to be overwhelmed with problems, just consciously block all thoughts on the problems. Then, think about all of the things that you have to be grateful for. I know that’s a pretty big order and it needs a lot of mental discipline, but if you do it, everything will start to shift in an instant. You can do that with practice. Just like snapping your fingers you change your life. When you change the way you look at the problems, the problems will change.
Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for what you already have and you will attract more good things. If you just study this one word, “gratitude,” every day for a month, I guarantee that your life will shift.
Wattles also said, “The grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best; therefore, it tends to become the best; it takes the form or character of the best and will receive the best.”
“Gratitude” is a beautiful word, but it’s also one of the most misunderstood words in any language. You see, gratitude connects you up with your source of supply. It literally puts you in harmony with your source of supply so that the good in everything will move toward you
